Make caramel apples on the countertop

Kids like sweets. Parents like apples. Luckily, the forces that be figured out a long time ago how to resolve any potential issues surrounding these basic truisms: simply combine the two. How and when the first caramel apple came to be is probably lost to time, but it is a good bet that a parent had something to do with it (or an apple farmer). However, getting your soon-to-be-sticky hands on one isn't exactly as easy as picking up a fun meal at the fast-food place down the street.

While caramel and apples may be abundant, some user interaction is required to combine the two. Good thing doing so isn't exactly work. The Caramel Apple Maker is an interactive countertop contrivance that makes it easy to melt a pot of caramel. Surrounding the device is a round tray that can be filled with toppings such as nuts or candy. Simply dunk the apple, rotate the divided tray for the desired ingredient, and dredge the apple in it.

Parents will like the fact that the rotating tray will not get tangled up in the power cord. Also, the clear, domed lid for the caramel is a handy way to keep things covered (while cleaning up after sticky hands). But when it's all said and done there is always one final perk to consider: the boss gets to have a caramel apple, too.
